Cleveland
The City of Cleveland is located within the most populous county in the state of Ohio, the Cuyahoga County, and had a population of almost 400,000 in 2010. Cleveland is situated in northeastern Ohio on the southern shore of Lake Erie, which is approximately 100km west of the Pennsylvania border.
Museums, events, professional sports, amusement parks, golf courses and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame cater to Cleveland’s diverse culture.
In recent years, the local government of Cleveland has prioritised improving infrastructure and diversifying the city’s economy in its approach to urban planning and development. Cleveland is considered as an exemplar for public-private partnerships and urban revitalisation, which is supported by The Economist ranking the city as one of the most liveable cities in the United States in 2005.
